Currently there are three StormC 4 master CD ROMs: a first CD ROM was
mastered at 8th december 2000, a second at 19th december 2000 and the
third and last at 26th march 2001.

The owners of one of the first two CDs can use the patches to update their
StormC and StormServer installations to the current state (3rd master).
You can check the date of your CD-ROM by clicking on its icon and opening
the Workbench information window (Amiga-I).

Changes:

1. Problems using the system on harddisks that are formatted with PFS are
solved. Both StormC and StormServer can now be installed on a PFS
formatted partition.

2. Support for mixed binaries and shared libraries is improved and
finalized.

3. Some support functions added to the libraries. These functions are
called by the code implicitly e.g. to cast different number types.

4. Minor bugfixes

There are 4 patches:

Patch20001206-StormC

Patchs your StormC 4 installation from the first CD ROM to the state of
the second CD ROM. You must apply the next patch as well.

Patch20001219-StormC

Patchs your StormC 4 installation from the second CD ROM to the state of
the third and currently up-to-date CD ROM.

Patch20001206-StormServer

Patchs your StormServer installation from the first CD ROM to the state of
the second CD ROM. You must apply the next patch as well.

Patch20001219-StormServer

Patchs your StormServer installation from the second CD ROM to the state
of the third and currently up-to-date CD ROM.

Download the needed patches and unpack it to ram disk or harddrive. Run
the script "patch" by double-clicking on its icon. The patch is
automatically applied to your installation. Some files are patched and
other files are copied to different places in your installation directory
StormC:

6. April 2001

Bis heute wurden 3 Master CDs von StormC 4 erstellt. Eine erste am 8.
Dezember 2000, eine zweite am 19. Dezember 2000, die dritte und bislang
letzte am 25. März 2001.

Für die Besitzer der 1. und 2. CD liegen hier nun die Patches vor, die das
StormC System auf den Stand der 3. Master bringen. Das Datum ihrer CD-ROM
können Sie feststellen, indem Sie auf ihr Piktogramm klicken und das
Workbench-Informationsfenster öffnen (Amiga-I).

Wesentliche Änderungen:

1. Das Problem der Installation auf einer Festplattenpartition, die mit PFS
formatiert ist wurde behoben. StormC 4 und StormServer sind nun problemlos 
auch auf PFS Partitionen nutzbar.

2. Die Unterstützung für Mixed Binaries und Shared Libraries wurde verbessert
bzw. vervollständigt.

3. Diverse fehlende Funktionen wurden den Bibliotheken hinzugefügt, dabei
handelt es sich im wesentlichen um Funktionen, die der Code des GCC
implizit aufruft, z.B. bei der Umwandlung verschiedener Zahltypen.

4. Weitere Fehlerbehebungen

Die Patches unterteilen sich in zwei Gruppen: Patches für eine vollständige
StormC Installation und Patches für die kleinere Installation als StormServer.

Patcht Ihre StormC 4 Installation auf den Stand der 2. Master. Wenden Sie
danach auch unbedingt den zweiten StormC Patch an, denn erst dieser enthält
die letzten Fehlerkorrekturen und Verbesserungen.

Patch20001219-StormC

Patcht Ihre StormC Installation auf den Stand der 3. Master.

Patch20001206-StormServer

Patcht Ihre StormServer Installation auf den Stand der 2. Master. Wenden
Sie danach auch unbedingt den zweiten StormServer Patch an, denn erst dieser
enthält die letzten Fehlerkorrekturen und Verbesserungen.

Patch20001219-StormServer

Patcht Ihre StormServer Installation auf den Stand der 3. Master.

Laden Sie die nötigen Patches, entpacken Sie diese in Ihre Ram-Disk oder
auf Ihre Festplatte und starten Sie das Skript "Patch" durch Doppelklick
auf das Icon. Der Patch wird vollautomatisch durchgeführt - es werden einige
Dateien nach StormC: kopiert, bzw. Patchprogramme ausgeführt.
